Welcome to DC!

Women in Defense Capital Chapter (WID DC) is a 501(c)(3), educational nonprofit dedicated to engaging thoughtful and innovative leaders in national defense and security, established in 2003. We are partnered with NDIA and the national Women In Defense chapter.
We play a vital role in enhancing the defense and national security sectors by empowering women, fostering leadership, and expanding professional networks. Our sponsors are essential to our inspiring programs and our mission of developing both current and future leaders.
The growth of our chapter is closely linked to the generous contributions from the defense industrial base. By sponsoring our initiatives, companies affiliated with our thriving chapter demonstrate their dedication to leadership and professional growth, gaining visibility among senior decision-makers in the defense community.
